3 Ingredient Hot Cocoa Mix Recipe
Happy National Cocoa Day ! Hot Cocoa is my official comfort drink of choice during the holiday season! There's just something about drinking a nice hot cup of hot cocoa and watching Christmas movies, that really puts me in the holiday mood. While I grew up on the store-bought hot chocolate mix with the little freeze dried marshmallows, but being the DIY enthusiast that I am, I decided to make my own, by using 3 simple ingredients. This recipe is so easy you'll probably never by the store-bought mix again.
3 ingredient Hot Cocoa Mix Recipe
Ingredients
3 1/2 cups sugar
2 1/4 cups cocoa
1 tablespoon table salt
**Warm Milk, almond milk, or hot water for serving**
Directions
Pour sugar, cocoa, and salt in a large bowl and whisk until the ingredients are combined well. Store the mixture in an airtight container.
For drinking, heat 1 cup of milk in the microwave or on the stove and mix in 2 tablespoons of hot chocolate mix.
** The mix will last as long as it's kept in an airtight container **

Add marshmallows
Add a teaspoon of instant espresso for a little boost of energy.
Add a pinch of cinnamon and cayenne pepper to spice it up a la Mexican hot chocolate.
